Weekly Blog [8/24 - 8/28]

I did this rough sketch of a human art with pencil. I then went over it in paint. The background is watercolor and sharpie. During my last year in high school, I became very inspired my the heart, both in the physical sense and emotional sense. I researched a little about the heart and also created a canvas painting that I enter in the APS art show. I think of the heart as being one of the AA batteries of the body. Your brain is the first battery and the heart is the second. I find it amazing what all the heart can do. It keeps you alive but also is the holding tank for all your emotions. I find the human heart very inspiring because you can examine it from so many different angles.

This video was my first expierence working with Windows Movie Maker. I took over 700 digital photos and then put them all together to make this stop action film. I was inspired by this because I was able to see all the possibilties and disadvantages you have when working with stop action. I consider this to be one of the lowest form of "special effects" there is. I had a lot of fun creating this film and watching it over and over again. I was excited knowing that there is so much more that I can learn about film making. This project inspired me to work more with digital media. I took this video with a Canon Digital SLR camera. I was really inspired by these types of cameras because they are very versatile. There are a lot of different artistic approaches you can take. I learned just a few of the techniques you can use with digital cameras. I appreciate the fact that I had the opportunity to work with these kinds of cameras. By using these cameras I was also able to use photoshop. Photoshop is very inspiring because the possiblities are almost endless as in what you can design, create and imagine.
