This costume design was purely inspired by the fact that Halloween is in our midst. I tried to work a little bit on my shading because that is a technique I struggle with. My boyfriend, who I think rocks at shading, gave me a few pointers. This isn't the best but I believe that I can improve from what I learn. I am really inspired by the beauty of butterflies. Something about their nature strikes me and I am just fascinated by them. That is why I chose to design a costume around that beautiful creature.
I think this typography desgin is beautiful and nicely constructed. I admire the thought process and planning that went into this piece. This makes me stop and think about all the ordinary objects and things that can be put together in a mosaic sort of way and end up with a beautiful scene. I would like to try something like this on my own. It will probably have to take some practice sketching and working in Photoshop to get it right. However, this is definately something I wanna try.
This typography video is not only humorous but it also is artistic. I like how everything is connected and how the words flow with connections. I find this inspiring because I see the variety of possibilities, these skills could take you. I could work in magazines and on commercials using both skills of typography and graphic design to become successful. I have always wondering what it would be like to work on a magazine as a graphic designer. After watching this video, it reminds me of that dream I have and how it inspires to maybe reach for that goal.
